Most lighting contractors want to sell you fittings. EGG starts with the decision: what is the right technical, economic and carbon outcome for each fitting family? Then we deliver it — with our own electricians, our own facility, and our own compliance records.
Tier 1 — What we deliver

Lighting installation
Full commercial lighting installation across complex and live estates, delivered by an in-house NICEIC-certified team based in Glasgow. From single sites to phased, zero-downtime programmes in occupied buildings. The delivery engine behind everything else EGG does.
Maintenance & emergency-lighting compliance
Ongoing lighting and emergency-lighting maintenance — including a managed emergency-lighting compliance service that runs the testing regime, holds the records and issues certification against your BS 5266 legal duty, on a fixed annual retainer. Less clipboard, more evidence.
For large estates, connected, remotely-monitored testing is available where it pays for itself. Aligned to BS 5266-1:2025.
Electrical works
NICEIC-certified electrical works supporting lighting and estate programmes — the in-house electrical capability that lets EGG deliver a whole project rather than hand part of it to a third party.
Controls design & integration
DALI-2 lighting controls designed and integrated for real buildings — smart controls, daylight harvesting, occupancy sensing, BMS integration and wireless retrofit. Proven at enterprise scale (Aberdeen) and as a standalone intervention that saved an entire system without replacing a single luminaire (Major Technology Campus).
Remanufacture & return
Your own fittings taken off the wall, rebuilt to as-new at EGG's Glasgow facility — to BS 8887-221:2024, tested to BS EN 60598, five-year warranty, Digital Product Passport — and returned to your estate, below new-procurement cost. Removed, processed and reinstalled by EGG's own electricians to an agreed schedule.

The Lighting Decision Audit
Know what your estate is worth before you replace it. The front door to every EGG engagement — and the reason the delivery team never has to sell you something you don't need.
Waste documentation — standalone compliance
One report for Scope 3, BREEAM and waste-tracking readiness. For fittings that don't pass the gate, the projected waste report is a compliance-grade deliverable supporting Scope 3 Category 5 reporting, BREEAM Wst 01 and LEED submissions. As a SEPA-licensed Authorised Treatment Facility, EGG provides chain-of-custody and recovery evidence.
Lifecycle data & Digital Product Passports
A living record for every fitting, from the first survey on. Every surveyed fitting becomes a structured, decision-grade record — spec, condition, embodied carbon, compliance status and retained value — seeded at audit and enriched through its life, designed to seed a Digital Product Passport ahead of incoming product-data requirements.
