How LightLoop works

A managed decision system for lighting assets.

LightLoop replaces habit with evidence — so every lighting decision, across every site, regardless of contractor, follows an agreed, auditable rule set.

Core principle

Separate the decision from the delivery — and document both.

The six-step loop

One continuous cycle — not a one-off project.

  1. 01

    Audit

Assess every fitting: condition, performance, age, compliance, value.

  2. 02

    Decide

Identify the right outcome: replace, remanufacture, repair or retain.

  3. 03

    Remanufacture

Retain the housing, renew performance with new LED technology.

  4. 04

    Reinstall

To the highest standards, extending life and restoring performance.

  5. 05

    Track

Performance, energy, savings and compliance across the estate.

  6. 06

    Reassess

Review as assets age and conditions change — closing the loop.

Step 6 feeds Step 1. The loop closes — and the next decision starts with better evidence than the last.

Four integrated layers

How LightLoop sits across your estate.

The foundation

LightLoop Audit

A fixed-fee portfolio decision audit before any spend is committed: asset baseline, treatment matrix, carbon baseline (TM65.2 method), an avoidable-replacement map, and a defensible evidence pack.

Embedded rules

LightLoop Management

Audit rules embedded into day-to-day maintenance. Fittings are tagged and recorded so any contractor sees history, approved treatment, compatible parts and warranty before a replacement is ordered. Decisions made before money is spent.

Delivery

LightLoop Projects

When the system confirms the route, EGG delivers. Remanufacture to BS 8887-221:2024, tested to BS EN 60598, five-year warranty, Digital Product Passports.

Annual review

LightLoop Assurance

An annual review confirms compliance status, refreshes the treatment matrix and updates carbon reporting — a live evidence pack for ESG disclosures and procurement audits, year on year.

Live, contracted service

Emergency-lighting compliance, run for you — against the duty you already carry.

Every responsible person for a building carries a legal duty to keep emergency lighting tested, evidenced and certified, under BS 5266. Manual testing is costly, error-prone and hard to evidence when it matters.

EGG runs that obligation as a managed service on a fixed annual retainer: we run the testing regime, hold the records, issue the certification, and flag failures — so your compliance evidence exists continuously, ready to file, rather than being reassembled under pressure at audit time.

The service leads on the obligation, not the technology.

Conversation, not tender

Start with a conversation.

No tender process required. No sales pressure. A straight answer about what your estate is worth.
