The delivery arm

We don't just recommend the work. We do it.

EGG is not a consultancy. Every audit finding, every remanufacture decision, every compliance recommendation we make is delivered by our own electricians — qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition), working from our Glasgow workshop, on sites from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. That's the difference between advice and accountability: we live with our recommendations, because we're the ones on the ladder.

The same team that rebuilds your luminaires wires your buildings. Here's the full scope of what they deliver.

Industrial

Manufacturing, warehousing and distribution.

Heavy-duty electrical infrastructure for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution — from Hillington to Cambuslang and across North Lanarkshire's industrial corridor. Suspended power systems and busbar distribution, custom panel boards to BS EN 61439, UPS and generator backup for operations that can't stop, BMS upgrades, and PAT and EICR testing programmes that keep insurance valid and inspections boring.

We plan around production. Shutdown windows, weekend shifts, permit-to-work systems — downtime is a cost we design out, not an apology we make afterwards.

Commercial & public

Offices, retail and the public estate.

Electrical infrastructure for offices, retail, and the public estate — occupied buildings, working around the people in them. Office alterations with raised access flooring, structured data cabling (Cat6/6a), automated door entry and access control compliant with Equality Act requirements, security and CCTV, and fault-finding that ends with a permanent fix rather than a return visit.

Experience across Glasgow's stock from glass-fronted business parks to listed buildings and Victorian conversions — coordinated with facilities teams, main contractors and public-sector procurement processes alike.

Housing associations & social housing

Multi-property programmes, delivered in people's homes.

Multi-property electrical programmes for housing associations and local authorities, delivered by PVG-scheme electricians who understand that this work happens in people's homes. Full rewiring programmes (typically 3–5 days per property, decoration made good), interlinked smoke, heat and CO detection to current Scottish fire safety standards, warden call and telecare systems for sheltered and supported living, and five-yearly EICR cycles with records formatted for your asset management system and Scottish Housing Regulator reporting.

Tenant communication, appointment scheduling and access management handled as part of the job — not left to your housing officers.

EV charging

Workplace, fleet and residential-development charging.

Workplace, fleet and residential-development charging infrastructure — designed against your actual electrical capacity, installed to the IET Code of Practice, with smart load management so adoption can grow without an upgrade bill. We advise on grant funding, including the Workplace Charging Scheme, and maintain installations regardless of who originally installed them.

Why this matters to the lighting story

Every visit feeds the asset picture.

An estate that trusts us with its electrical infrastructure gets something extra: every visit feeds the asset picture. The electrician fixing your distribution board is from the same firm that can tell you which of your luminaires are worth remanufacturing, which emergency lighting won't survive the 2025 standard, and where your maintenance spend is quietly replacing things that didn't need replaced.

That starts with a Lighting Decision Audit — or, if you have an electrical requirement right now, get in touch and we'll give you a straight answer.

Conversation, not tender

Start with a conversation.

No tender process required. No sales pressure. A straight answer about what your estate is worth.
