Our Sustainable Vision
Since 2013, our business has been driven by a deep commitment to enhancing the harmony between people, technology, and the environment. Sustainability is at the core of our mission, influencing every aspect of our operations. Over the past decade we have worked with over 300 companies across the UK, delivering tens of thousands of the industry’s latest LED’s. As a result, we have successfully saved businesses over 13,000 tons of operational CO2 emissions. Our commitment to sustainability continues to develop as the lighting industry now looks to accurately measure and reduce embodied carbon emissions.
At EGG Lighting, our dedication lies in providing a sustainable alternative to the prevailing linear model in the lighting industry, where products are commonly used once and then disposed of. We believe that remanufacturing holds the key to addressing the inadequate end-of-life treatment of lighting products. Through our groundbreaking remanufacture service, we have already helped numerous businesses throughout the UK achieve substantial savings in energy and materials. Our lighting remanufacture services have achieved significant savings to date:
We have aligned our sustainability efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals serve as a global framework for addressing pressing environmental and social challenges. By aligning our actions with the SDGs, we strive to make a meaningful impact in areas such as clean energy, responsible consumption, climate action, and more.
Our Climate Commitment
We recognise that climate change poses a threat to the economy, nature and society at large. Our company has committed to take action immediately in order to:
- Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030
- Achieve net zero emissions before 2050
- Disclose our progress on a yearly basis
We will report our progress annually starting 2024
